Tom Griep
CEO and President
A long-term member of the Murphy team, Tom joined the company as the Vice President of Finance and Corporate Secretary in 2002. In 2013, he was promoted to Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Information Technology. Tom was named CEO and President of Murphy Companies in April 2020.
Tom holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from the University of St. Thomas and a Juris Doctor degree from William Mitchell College of Law. He is also a licensed certified public accountant.
His robust expertise includes warehousing, strategic planning, process improvement, negotiation, budgets, supply chain management, forecasting, mergers, contract negotiation, change management and financial analysis.
Tom is the first non-family member to lead Murphy in our 110+ year history. His integrity and commitment to excellence reflects the family values that have been so key to our success and longevity.
